Custom Applications

Our experience in deploying VSA has demonstrated that customers are very keen to leverage Fluency’s configurable packaged applications in most of their deployments thus enabling them to meet their business requirements quickly and cost effectively. Our customers find the use of the Fluency Management Console (MC) a clear advantage in allowing them to manage the day-to-day configuration of their solution. However, in a number of scenarios customers have very specific requirements pertaining to their own organizations that can only be catered for in a custom-built application.

Fluency has invested heavily in building an Enterprise Platform (VSA 5.0) to cater for both types of customer requirements without losing the benefits of deploying configurable packaged applications where relevant but at the same time complementing the solution with custom-built functionality.

Key Features

The features that make the new Enterprise Platform (VSA 5.0) unique are:

  1. A comprehensive portfolio of configurable packaged applications.
  2. A library of re-usable modules that combine functionality at various levels of granularity with associated Management Console (MC) pages for configurability. These pre-built and tested modules together with their configuration MC pages can be assembled in various combinations to extend the functionality of existing packaged applications or for building custom applications. While this approach of using industry-specific functional templates is not uncommon in the industry, the Fluency Platform enables this task to be done through configuration rather than programming or reverting back to the basic use of a toolkit. Packaged and custom applications can therefore be deployed within the same platform, share the same resources and share the unified MC.
  3. A comprehensive SDK which combines API for data integration, reporting, and CTI integration.
  4. Enterprise features that include true multi-tenancy with role-based security, clustering and centralised management, Directed Dialogue and Natural Language Routing, a versatile data management engine and consolidated reporting.
  5. A new look and feel for the MC which has been the subject of extensive usability testing.
